| Condition: The
architectural metal window frames and metal entrance doors at this
Cartier retail store had corroded to the point that the metal finish
was oxidizing, discolored and no
longer clean. The gloss, luster and sheen wore off the lacquer finish
and the metal showed signs of corrosion, scratches, staining, pitting
and oxidation. The old, sun damaged and weathered clear lacquer was
cracking, peeling and chipping exposing the metal to the damaging
elements. The metal finish was tarnishing and taking on a natural
patina. On-site metal refinishing and metal maintenance was specified
to
clean,
resurface, refinish, repair and restore the metal window frames and
metal entrance door finishes. The Solution: We could not repair or refinish the architectural metal at the main entrance to the Cartier retail store during the day so the metal refinishing and restoration project was completed at night. We had to get off and remove the tarnish, patina, stains, oxidation, corrosion, pitting and discoloration from the metal surface and metal finish. As metal cleaning, restoration and metal refinishing experts the metal window frames and doors are now clean and protected. The metal is now renewed, refinished, restored and rejuvenated with the original architectural metal color, sheen and factory applied gloss. |
