| Condition: During
construction the anodized aluminum storefront window frames and
mullions on
this Venice Beach, CA condominium
were damaged by stucco overspray. The stucco residue stained, acid
etched and
oxidized the anodized aluminum. The architect and owner wanted the
stucco stains removed and the anodized
aluminum cleaned and repaired of surface damage corrosion. We were
asked how to
clean, refurbish and repair the damaged anodized aluminum. The Solution: A York Property Company Technical Advisor assisted the architect with the anodized aluminum stucco damage analysis and the correct specification for the stucco removal. To get the stucco off of the Kawneer Permanodic anodized aluminum finishes we implemented our anodized aluminum stucco remover program which enabled the anodized aluminum to be clean, refurbished and repaired of the staining, stucco residue and oxidation. |
